SERVICE
- Preventative maintenance and regular cleaning of your appliances will greatly help to increase longevity and overall performance. Additionally, a trained eye will recognize components nearing the end of their service life that could cost you more time and money upon complete failure. Chafing hoses or wiring harnesses and slow/intermittent leaks can also be addressed before they eventually cause damage -
- Annual clean-out of your homes dryer ducting between the unit and outdoor vent is often overlooked. Over time, the restricted exhaust ducting will progressively reduce the drying efficiency of the unit, causing longer dry times and prematurely wearing out components. Although we don't provide home duct cleaning, we do provide a disassembly and full cleaning service to clean the lint build-up inside the dryer itself -
- Fridge/Freezer condensers also require periodic cleaning to perform as efficiently as possible. Organizing your fridge is equally important. The coldest section is the bottom shelf and by the inlet shelf so arrange your contents accordingly. When you fill your refrigerator, don’t overstuff it. You need room to let cool air circulate, which will keep food at a safe temperature. Conversely, don’t leave your refrigerator empty. Refrigerators need to have some items in them to maintain low temperatures. A similar theory applies for freezers. About 3/4 full with room for air to circulate is when the unit is most efficient -
- Cleaning your appliances monthly, especially your Dishwasher and Washing Machine, will help prevent the growth of bacteria which is not only unsanitary, but results in an unpleasant odour. Running HOT water to the kitchen tap before starting your Dishwasher and periodically using a HOT wash setting on your Washer, are effective ways to help fight the growth of germs and bacteria within the machine and associated plumbing -
